The Tucson community is mourning the loss of a student at the University of Arizona.


Tucson police arrest suspects in a fatal shooting on the campus of the University of Arizona.On the 3rd of October, 2017, Tucson police arrested a suspect for the murder of one University of Arizona student. At around 10:00 p.m. officers responded to an incident of shooting inside the school. The officers reached the school only to find one victim. He died upon his arrival. Austin Lopez-Lopez is wanted for first degree murder in addition to child endangerment charges. One person passed away from the trauma sustained by the shooting while another is currently critically ill after being injured by the University of Arizona. Police have said they’re investigating the shooting as suspected of being a homicide.Tucson police release information on shooting that resulted in one victim dead and one injured.On July 20, 2017, Tucson police issued information regarding the incident which resulted in one person dead and another wounded. The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. located in 2400 blocks West University Avenue. According to the police report, the victim was wounded multiple times and then died on the scene. The name of the victim hasn’t been released yet. Police shot the suspect in the unarmed shooting following his refusal to surrender his firearm. At the time of arrival, police found two people dead and one wounded. The person who was shot several times before being declared dead upon arrival. After a short pursuit, the suspect was arrested. One victim was killed while another was wounded. Jarad Anthony Higgins (21) who is from Tucson was the victim. There is no indication that the injury could be life-threatening. A suspect was killed by a gunman at the University of Arizona on October 16. The suspect was named by the name of Darrell K. Hawkins, 22 , from Arizona. Hawkins killed Jarad Anthony Wicker, 24, during an altercation at fraternity gatherings on the 28th of September in 2017.

On September 14, 2018 the police arrested a suspect for the murder of a student at the University of Arizona. It was determined that the suspect is 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner.Loughner was engaged in a student-run in order to call for an end to gun violence . He shot and killed U of A student Elliot Rodger inside a dormitory on campus.


Tucson police have made an arrest for the shooting death one student who was a student at the University of Arizona and are conducting an investigation into the incident. The suspect is currently investigating the incident.
