Wizkid has been nominated for 10 awards at 2022’s Headies Awards. The singer has been nominated for the following categories: Male Artiste of the year and African Artiste of the year, Song of the Years, Best Music Video and Best Collaboration. There are also nominees who are first-time nominees.

The awards will be handed out in America on the 4th of September, 2022. Voting closed on August 31, 2022. Wizkid is the top contender with 9 nominations. The next three are Olamide, Brymo and Ladipoe. Portable, Magixx and Patoranking are the other newcomers.

Olamide’s album for 2020, “Carpe Diem” was awarded the prize for the best Rap Album

Olamide’s latest album, ‘Carpe Diem’, has been awarded the award for Best Rap Album at the 2022 Headies Awards. The album contains 12 tracks and marks Olamide’s eleventh studio album. The album was produced using Yoruba (a Yoruba language that is spoken by the West African Yorbas). Olamide is an internationally renowned Nigerian musician who has contributed to hip-hop’s popularity.

Olamide’s album of 12 tracks “Carpe Diem,” was launched in the month of October, 2020. It features a variety of tracks from artists like Phyno as well as Fireboy DML, Omah La and Bad Boy Timz. It also features Bella Shmurda, Peruzzi and other artists.

Waje is the first African woman to be awarded a Headies Award this is an award that has merit. The ceremony will take place in Atlanta on the 4th of September.
