Liz Truss is the new chief of the Conservative Party after a bitterly contesting election with Rishi Sunak. Although Mr. Sunak could have garnered more support from the Tory party’s members, it’s evident that Ms Truss has the support of the party’s parliamentary members. On the eve of tomorrow, she’ll be meeting with Queen Elizabeth II in Balmoral in order to officially take over her position. It is clear that the Conservative Party is divided, there are many who feel angry about Mr Sunak for “topping” Boris Johnson. However, it is also obvious that Truss is in a position to be the leader of the Conservative Party, and she is going to do it with the help of the majority of MPs.
